Pretty much the same shit I said about Awesome Chaotix, except less funny. Once again, the animation is fantastic and shows a lot of improvement you made throughout the year, however most of the comedy comes from the really lame attempt at improv and the idea of Pokémon characters swearing. The purposeful stumble on your lines got really old and unfunny, and the whole thing with Pokémon talking and having meta knowledge of the game's mechanics is something I've seen in so many other parodies. Incredibly tired concept and very much overdone, especially considering the fact that even by the time this cartoon was released, Pokémon was one of, if not the most parody'd property ever made. If I had a dollar everytime I watched a Pokémon fan made spoof with a Pokémon swearing, or a "Professor Oak wants to fuck Ash's Mom" joke, or whatever, I would have enough to fund starving children in Africa to never go hungry again. I'm sorry, but this shit just makes me cringe man.

PokéAwesome 2 was way better thankfully and I would love to leave a positive review on it, buuut you didn't post it to NG, sooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Animation is fantastic, I really appreciate the effort that was put into it. However, the humor was hit or miss for me, there were a few moments that gave me a good laugh, but other moments it seemed like the punchlines comprised of either the overabundance of Hanna-Barbera, Ren and Stimpy, etc. sound effects or "what if funny sonic character does le epic drug and then does a swear." In other cases, I had to rewatch scenes to actually understand what the characters were saying either because of subpar line readings that could have used another take, or just from weird writing choices (why does Espio call out to Jesus when he asks why he was connected to Charmy lol.) The fact that Knuckles Chaotix wasn't really even that popular of a game when this cartoon was made certainly didn't help either.

Regardless, I still found this to be an enjoyable watch.

I really don't know what it was about 2011, but this really seemed like the year where you kind of dialed in your cartoons.

I mean, points for humor and relatability (can't even begin to count how many times I've been approached by someone who asked me to draw them because they heard I was an artist) but animation is incredibly limited, and in general this has very little to nothing to do at all about the source material it's parodying aside from the snippet of Cole interrogating someone in the beginning. And yes, I get the reference to the fact that Cole sketches the faces of everyone he interrogates, but even that wasn't fleshed out very well as a main focus to a joke as much as a silly observation you probably made while playing the game, evident by how short and minimum effort this cartoon was as well as the fact that there are really only two jokes in the entire thing.

I said this about Awesome Reach as well, but why even make an LA Noire parody at that point? At least with Awesome Reach it was obvious what it wanted to make fun of and what it did make fun of actually had more of a connection to the game it was parodying, not to mention the effort both in comedy *and* animation clearly shows. I get that you didn't enjoy playing the game, but it honestly seems like this was forced out with not a lot of planning done ahead of time.

Lmao, this is great, the visual gags are fucking hilarious. Adeliene breaking her brush before storming out, the rest of the Fire Emblem cast being the only ones applauding, and how the dude who won does a motherfucking counter as he's posing for the audience are some of my favorite moments. Given the pattern of how disappointing the final DLC character in Smash games typically have been ever since Wii U, I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if this is what actually happens for Ultimate.

Animation has certainly improved and I much appreciate the attempt at emulating Edd's classic style, though I must say the jokes were either hit or miss. I really hate to be this blunt, but the level of humor in these later episodes just aren't hitting it for me like the older episodes have. Despite this, I still find the dedication to the overall products admirable, so props for that.

I'm actually amazed at how well this has aged. Also love how clean the art is, and as far as standards go for 2008, the animation is well above average.

is it too late to enter

"piss and vinegar, anything goes"

Regardless what Chris thinks of this animation now, the ending is absolutely worth it.

the sound lardman makes is underrated wehehehehe

Aspiring artist and animator since I was wee, but never truly got into it professionally until highschool. Been a Newgrounds user for years, but decided to make a new profile.
